September is the beginning of spring in the Southern Hemisphere, and with excitement we see landscapes explode into colour as flowers bloom, bringing all insects to live especially the bees
. South Africa has the most diverse set of biomes in the world and transitions between them can be dramatic. September is also Heritage Month in South Africa during which the country celebrates its diverse heritage much like the rich biodiversity of the country’s fauna and flora. We are reminded to celebrate our rich heritage of plants, animals and flowers this month – let it remind us that we are united in diversity.
